Dear UCIAF Friend: 

The Ulster County Italian American Foundation requests your support. It is through your generosity and that of others, that we have been able to produce one of the premier festivals in the Hudson Valley. Each year our festival attendance surpasses the previous year’s (exception for Covid 2021).  At our festival, we feature top entertainment with nationally recognized headliners. This, combined with our sumptuous food vendors, artisan crafts and merchandise, and festive characters and minstrels wandering the grounds create an atmosphere that is not to be missed.  The festival day begins with a children’s parade into T.R. Gallo Park, followed by an introduction of our esteemed visitors and recognition of our award recipients, in particular our Signore and Signora of the year. A visit to our Cultural Center, housed in the Maritime Museum Barn provides the backdrop for storytelling of real life experiences by our local members as well as cooking and baking demonstrations.                                                                                       

Don’t miss the spaghetti eating contest on the main stage! 

Preserving, promoting and celebrating our rich Italian culture is the main objective of our Foundation.  This is achieved through many means such as: guest speakers at our monthly dinners, Italian movie nights, the Bocce Day Family Picnic, baking and cooking classes, wine and limoncello making events, as well as Italian language classes. These teaching and learning sessions combined with trips to Italian museums and neighborhoods strengthens our commitment to preserving and promoting our culture.
